Help! I was told by a dealer that the reason I can't find any info about an Emerson model EF6Y3 flute is because it has been discontinued. He has a new one for sale and I don't know if this is legit or not.

The price is around $500.oo. While I realize there is info on some sellers' sites, I would prefer information from someone who is not trying to sell me (a very uninformed person) a flute. I can't afford to buy an instrument that can't be fixed down the road. Our first flute purchase was given the "thumbs down" by the band instructor. Ouch!

Yes this is exactly what the concern is. The brand previously purchased was not repairable according to the band instructor.
