Well, I did try a Gold Nagahara this year that sounded amazing! I usually feel like I sound dead on gold flutes or headjoints and I don't like the response I get on them. I am sure it would be an acquired taste though on my part. I DO however like gold risers on headjoints. Weird...

what do u think about platinum flutes?:DDDD

I only like the normal regular ones... no risers, no extra features... but however... I liked the 14 k riser on the miya boston classic (a flute of friend of mine :D) but i think the cut on that hj was just perfectly made by the maker's hands.

I think that platinum flutes sound really nice. Any of the ones that I have tried were a tad heavy and were LOUD!!

really???? I love LOUD flutes. with really nice sound of course. I've bnever had chance to try these flutes yet (gold, platinum). Only nickel (lmfao) and solid silver, britannia silver (.958) wich is the same like .925

If you like loud then try a Powell or Burkart.

I'd just want a flute with a really nice sound and responde.

na dont like platinum just another white metal only so very very soft to the point of being able to squeeze the headjoint tube closed with 2 fingers the only good thing about it is it dose not wear

Well, I went the mix & match route to get the best of all. Silver flute, 14K headjoint w/platinum riser.
