Okay guys.

I have to say this. Yes she is terrible.

As I said before my sister did pagents. They are not judged on talent alone. It is a very small part of the contest. They are judged on poise, speaking ability, looks, how thier clothes fit, the color of their clothes with skin tone.(speaking is a joke too!)

If we started doing flute competitions with swimsuit and evening gown segments we would probably all fail miserably. (especially the guys.) Lord save us if Mimi Stillman, Andrea Fisher or Nina Perlove were in the competition. The rest of the flute population would not have much of a chance in beating them in the evening gown competition. hehe.

You have to keep in mind that she was in a beauty contest. (= airhead)

So please guys give it a rest.

I don't think that she won the contest, but then again, I am not interested enough to find out.

then you'd know that they try to devoid the title from being actually called a "Beauty Contest" or eve "Beauty Pageant" anymore.

It's kind of interesting to see the responses regarding this post. Personally I'm not a Sarah fan, but I just thought it was kind of neat that a pres. hopeful plays the flute. I don't think we've ever had that before. I know she wasn't that great, but she was not really there to show off her flute skills anyway.

You do all know that some of the comments were about the girl playing the trumpet, don't you?

Beauty pageants and flute players? Not on the topic of SP here, but did any of you ever catch the movie "Miss Congeniality" with Sandra Bullock? Yeah, I need downtime where I don't have to think about plot or anything serious. There was one particular scene in the "talent" portion with a flute playing contestant. I had to laugh at the attempt to "act" the flute playing part!!! I wonder if they paid a consultant for the scene? Now, there's a new career move for me...LOL!

If you want to talk about movies with funny flute scenes. Anchorman is hystarical. I love it when flames come shooting out of the end of the flute!
