I have one of those interesting little questions for you guys. Is J.S. Bach's Partita in a Minor the same thing as his Sonata in a Minor? They are both BWV 1013. I don't want to go waltzing into my audition with the wrong piece prepared. -_- As far as I can tell, they are the same thing. Am I right or have I simply lost my mind?

Keep working on BWV 1013.
It's really a Partita in Sonata form.
If you read the description below you will see that it's a synonym for suite (a collection of dances). All of the movements for the Partita are named after, and written in the style of dances of the Baroque Suite.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Partita
"Partita was originally the name for a single instrumental piece of music (16th and 17th centuries), but Johann Kuhnau and later German composers (notably Johann Sebastian Bach) used it for collections of musical pieces, as a synonym for suite.
"
The defining factor is that the BWV number 1013. Bach may have written a Sonata in a Minor but the Bach Werke Verzeichnis number would have invariably been different.

Ok, that makes me feel a lot better then. I don't have a go out and by new sheet music. xD Thanks for the information!
