I found a post from 2004 on the clarinet forum involving a Paul Dupre bass clarinet, but other than that, I've found no mention on the webs about Paul Dupré instruments. Has anybody heard of them before or knows where I could find some more info on them?
I have a flute handed down to me from my father - he had a relative who worked in a music repair shop and my father almost took to going down that road and received this flute in case he ever decided he wanted to do work in the area. He never did and the flute has laid around the house for quite a few decades. It's Paul Dupré flute, marked Paris France "Conservatoire". This is etched on the headjoint. The only other mark I could find was hidden under keywork on the foot joint and appears to read "11 C". It's a C foot, inline G, and no split E. It's missing springs, unplayable at the moment, and the silver plating is REALLY aged and ugly looking. In fact, it's turning purple. XD
I'm just wondering if this is an instrument worth repairing by reputation, so if anybody has heard of the make, let me know here.
