It would probably get in the way. You could take it out just to play.

I`m sure you could figure it out. However, if you are at all serious about theflute, get your nose pierced instead-- anything in or on your mouth will interfere.

I`m sure you COULD still play flute with it... but it wouldn`t sound as good.

You wouldn`t think it`d make a huge difference. A girl from my high school got her tongue pierced, and it really affected her tone and her tongueing. (How do you spell tongue-ing?) Stay away from piercing any part of your mouth if you`re serious about flute. Please.

personaly i`d say stay away from peircing any part of ur body, just the thought of poking a hole through ur skin and then sticking metal threw it is just .... i dont kno but i dont like it. Course u can do whatever u want, if u really wanna get ur lip peirced then go right ahead, but it will ruin ur playing.

Okay, I realize that it`s your body, but think on DOWN the road of life. Will you be "proud" of having gotten a piercing later on down the road?
Also, there is the issue of pain, infection, the piercing getting in the way of daily life (such as playing flute), and just putting a hole in your body that doesn`t belong there.
Just my input... adios for now!
God bless,

Im not sure if that will affect your playing, it might get in the way but who knows, Im sure if you really wanted to play the flute you could though.

Oh, and for future reference... it`s "piercing," not "peircing."
:D
Just lettin` ya know... please don`t take it as being rude-I correct people all the time... just my nature.
Peace out!

I love piercings, but if you play an instrument like the flute, clarinet or anything u have to blow into, you should stay away from getting anything pierced in your mouth. Maybe you could get your nose or eyebrow pierced. I`m a clarinet, sax, and oboe player and i have 8 ear piercings(4 in each ear) and i want to get my belly button done!

Try to stay away from getting anything in your mouth pierced!

haaaaaaaaahahahaha like you could play the flute with your lower lip pierced. how could you possibly create a proper embouchure with a metal ball sticking out of your lip???
If i werent a flute player, I would get mine done, too... but it just isn`t possible to play well with your lip pierced. I got mynose done instead. but really... There`s no way you`ll be able to play with that in. not to mention the constant movement of the piercing will result in infection and gross scarring
