why do we vote negatively on Pyroni's posts? At least on this thread, there is no reason too. People have a right to express their opinions, then if the fact isn't right, people also have the right to disprove it.
I feel after the Nickel/Silver flute post many seem to be negatively voting on Pyroni's posts, and I know its not Kara.
Maybe he's got an ego, but that is natural human instinct. Some just express it more than others.
I guess I just feel that many of us, myself included, are taking part in the bullying process...and it is unsettling.
I believe that a flute should at least get taken to a repair man for an evaluation periodically (at least). I think its a good idea to get it oiled yearly too, but that is apparently debatable...after all, what do I know?
Just curious Pyroni, was there ever really a mythbusters show on oiling a flute? If there is, I have never seen it... <Added>Also, I'm not sure if anybody has noticed the second question posted about removing dents in a flute in this thead. I can't answer it myself, but we should probably get back to that topic.

Hey flute_n_basoon, thanks but don't help me, they bite.....Don't wanna see you and others dragged into this becoz of me.
They are vendors, answering every posts, pretending helping new comers, and if newbies ask questions like "What flute should I buy" or "I am looking for Piccolo", then someone or some ghosts would immediately come out and say "Some members of the forums sell used flutes/piccolos here. I'm not sure, but you can message Kara or Suzie on this forum. They always have nice flutes!"
Voting negatively on my posts? Hey That's OK with me, I don't really mind, first it shows how childish they are - more childish than me a teenager; second it made themselves looked ugly to everyone, third it attracts more and more people want to read my posts and I get more attentions - human nature, curiosity; fourth I will make a lot of professional people like Micron the experienced repair tech and Tibetcow and many others more angry toward them, becoz it makes their posts looked like talking to themselves or talking to air without my posts appearing in between, lol.
I can always register 10 or 20 new accounts to vote my posts up, but there is no need, I simply love to see them doing it, enjoying it. And they would probably register 20 or 30 more accounts to vote me down again, then it would be a stupid childish game, I would never do that...I am low in EQ I admit that but I am not childish like them.
They bullying me? noooooo, they just wanted one voice, the Americas voice, I spoke things they don't like to hear, they like people complimenting, friendly and kiss each other's butt, but I aint no kisser or hypocrit man....don't force me to....
especially I talked and played and posted highly about Yamaha 211, they don't like it, why? coz I uncle told me Yamaha 221 or 211 has very high performance rate + high quality against the price, they knew it, but the price for dealers are just too thin!! They hated it... They want to sell something else, something poor quality but cheap in cost, high in profit, or BUY A mid-range PRO-FLUTE, wooooo, fat profit percentage.

I suggest you get your facts straight before running your mouth off. Suzie and I AREN'T dealers of any brand of flutes. We buy and sell USED flutes. If you notice, 99% of the flutes that I sell ARE Yamaha 221's or 225SII's. I have been posting a long time on this forum and many people know me or have been a customer therefor recommending the flutes that I sell. You are being childish here, no one else. It is obvious that you have a problem with people in the US as you keep on bringing that up. If you do ever make it to be a professional you are going to have to get past that as you may have to work in the US. I don't know why you insist on even posting on this forum just to post diggs. I am sorry that you were jealous of my flute playing and you felt like you had to lash out at me and others because of it only because I called you out on having a big ego. This ends here. If you can't control yourself then I guess I will have to leave the forum until you can.

Plain bland vanilla flute like Yamaha flute with CY cut has its merit, as Tibetcow put it, it helps students to develop good tone slowly and gradually.
"I prefer a simple tube without a built-in tone...then I can put into it what I want" (Marcel Moyse - forefather of modern flute playing)
Paraquote: "I prefer a headjoint with simple cut, because in the orchestra they require me to make lots of different changes in tone" (Emmanuel Pahud - Berlin BPO, said in a masterclass)
THE SAME CY cut is used in 221, 211, 311, 371, 381, 471, 481, 511, 611, 711, 811, 871, 881..... --1 means it's CY or so called student Cut, --4 is EC or so called professional high riser Cut. Even the professionals do sometimes order high end Yamaha flute with CY cut as I have heard.
Yamaha 221 or 211 are good flute and mentioned in many many many forums with different languages, I personally believe 211 can go further and last longer in grades. That's all I have to say sincerely to the original question.
<Added>
211 and 311 are the same, only the head is silver that's all. I have a 371 CY silver head, same as my 211 CY nickel head, not much different all, and the only very tiny difference I feel (I could be wrong) is that Nickel CY is a bit more louder but responded a tiny bit slower than Silver CY; and Silver CY is a bit softer in sound, but the tone is limited or weaker in the high register, but responded a tiny bit faster than Nickel CY. But basically SAME!

I don't why the pricing in UK is so crazy, then the Europe, then the Americas price, it's so cheap here in Asia, almost half of the price of that of UK, may be becoz of the high tax there??? If you buy a student model like 221 or 211, then no problem, not much, but if you want to really buy a high end expensive pro-flute, I think come to Asia and get one here and you can spend the money you saved on tour.
Maybe becoz of high salary too? besides tax. coz last time our orchestra went to UK, OMG the burger king burger is like US$10 each, here in my country is US$4-US$5 only.

ya, vote me down again, since u don't want people to know the truth!
