Could you please explain what you mean by "closing a post"? How is it done exactly?

Okay, now I see what you erroneously call "closing a post." You meant that enough people voted against a particular posted message so that it didn't automatically display with the other posts in the thread. But clicking the + button does effectively "open" it again.

As I understand it, one person has only one vote on a particular post. So it takes several people to actually make the post not displayed.

Micron, if you don't like this particular feature of the 8notes.com forums, you should complain to the site's Web designer -- and not complain about people who use the feature as it was meant to be used.

Micron...I've read your posts before, and I actually liked them. You have some good insights. However, you need to stop being such a baby when someone doesn't think the same as you. Are you really so insecure that you need EVERYONE on a freaking WEBSITE to agree with everything you say? If so, then that's pretty sad. Man up, get over it. You haven't been a troll before. while I agree with you on many aspects Micron, this re posting is getting to be a little aggravating.
We have all read what your posts have said, so we don't need to see and read them again. I disapprove of the personal attack on you, but if people want to continue doing it, let them. Seeing your posts over and over aren't going to stop that. Its a case of "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all" Obviously many people don't have anything nice to say, but they will say it if you continue to re post. Perhaps you have the right, but that doesn't mean you should.
You have the right to run out in the middle of the freeway don't you? But would you? Of course not. It would be s atupid thing to do. Maybe that is what is going on here. Please think before you post, Micron. It would lessen the argument in this hostile forum.

I want to apologize for starting this thread. I wrote to the moderator and asked that he close my account entirely. There is enough stress in life and much more important matters then some drama on a forum. I would like to focus on the more positive things in life. I wish you all the joy and happiness in your flute endeavors.

i don't think you can return after closing an account. it is one thing to say that she is leaving but another thing to have her account closed. sorry if i don't see it as positive like you. i can think of more positive things right now that cara leaving.
