I've also heard good things about azumi, but I'd rather replace my headjoint than buy a completely new flute jsut for the headjoint value since the rest of the flute is "cheap".
Contra...
I think flute and bassoons can exist in harmony, but Bari Sax? That is just wierd.
I think you need to rethink your priorities.

Does it really matter what the players are called - who in their right mind would really want to play the stupid instrument anyway?

Contra448, why are you on a flute forum if you think the instrument is so stupid?

that is a weird thing to say and rather childish. all instruments can exist in harmony. we do have orchestras around the world that seem to.

I do like to wind people up occasionally

Although I don't play the flute I am a woodwind technician & looking at these forums help keep up with the latest developments. Otherwise I only see them a couple of years on when servicing is required.

What is so strange about playing bari sax as well as bassoon? A number of shows require doubling on bari & bassoon. I would have thought a bassoon/flute double is wierder but know quite a few people who play this combination which also is required in at least one show.
