micron, i am unsure why your post was voted down so many times, i thought it was a fair suggestion. I suppose not all agree. it may be a fair suggestion but i tend to agree with jose. it seems to be a lot more sax players posting that are doubling on flute on that forum. i know there are other members who also double on instruments that post on this site, so they may find it helpful but if your main instrument is solely the flute switching to a sax/doubling forum may not seem suitable to some.

there is nothing "snobby" about it. in most cases a person that ONLY plays flute will likely know more about the flute in general. i double myself so i am not trying to be snobby at all. i think that suggestion was rather rude.

micron, one thing that baffles me is if you don't like this forum so much and like sax on the web so much better then why do you continue to post here? don't get me wrong, i don't mean that in a rude way at all

i NEVER said or wrote the word hate. please go back and read my post again. i wrote "if you don't LIKE." from your reading your words i got the impression that you were not happy and didn't much care for the set up of this forum. it is clear you are a sensitive person, i am sorry if i offend with my thoughts.

Everybody just think of that they have to login, find the post, vote -1, then it auto refreshes, then they find another post, vote -1, the it auto refreshes, then they...., then they log out, and log in with another account name, then they do it over and over again, it's a stupid painful process, this proves they have no life!!!

If you really play flute, you know time just flies, after you played all the scales, 2 hours are just gone!! and there are long tones, etudes, Trevor Wye exercises, home work, and pieces..... these trolls have too much time, losers with too much time and no life.

i never once said that Pyrioni was the troll. the troll also attacked kara's posts. so if you are going where i think you are trying to go then you are wrong. have we ever thought that some of these posts are just being marked down by everyone? i am sure that there are bad feelings harbored towards the targeted parties after everything that has happened. i am positive though that one for sure was an attack by a troll because i kept on fighting for about an hour with them to stop from posts being thumbs down. it was continuous and in the middle of the night in the US.

I hate it when people brag! Only people that feel inadequate have the need to bring themselves up constantly in conversation.

I for one, have talked to the moderator fairly recently. I asked for him to include piccolo and cor analgis in the list of instruments you can choose from for your page. Indeed, he did respond to me and changed the list that very day.
But think about it- what can the moderator really do about a troll? He can close thier account, but they would just create a new one and come back (they are abusing the vote system with multiple accounts anyway). The only thing that would be different after that would be that the site may lose a subscriber (the troll could be a subscriber).
It is up to us to ignore these trolls completely...then they will get bored. It is really the only way to eliminate them, so please, can we all fight together to eliminate these trolls by ONLY responding to MUSIC RELATED posts? If we continue to respond, they will continue to respond. There is nothing we can say that will stop them. Instead, everytime we post, it encourages thier trollish behavior.

why this guy is so afraid of me showing my demonstration of the 4th Octave with Yamaha 211? hmmm.... is it becoz his or her students keep asking him/her to demonstrate the 4th octave? Or becoz I have shown them that a basic cheap model 211 made of white-copper can also just do the work upto F#7? doh, I have ruined their business!
