Yes, Patrick is correct cigarette paper is easy to get any 7-11 or other convenience store.

In an emergency emergency you might try newspaper. (I know I'm going to get whamed for that one).

If you use the cigerette paper, cut off the sticky part or glue before you use it. It will keep you from accidentally putting glue on your pads.

Use a tapping motion. Do not pull the paper through.

Use money lol. Seriously I'm not kidding, get a bill and put it under the sticky key, close it on top of the bill firm BUT NOT SUPER TIGHT and pull out the paper. The oils from the bill will unstick the pads. But don't ever clean yours pads with money, for emergencies only xD

Please do be careful about giving out advice if you don't really know what you are talking about. NEVER use money to clean your pads. Not unless you want the ink and dirt to be put onto them from the dirty money. That is a no no and only what dumb band directors like to teach.

I did say EMERGENCY. And by emergency if you have no other choice. Like if you're in the middle of the performance and don't have better materials handy.

And please you could have just stopped at "don't use money because..." instead of saying something offensive like "only dumb band director's teach this". Again I say do it for EMERGENCIES, your last resort kind of thing.

I agree with micron, a dollar bill is worthless, just as it is becoming in real lif, if it rips an expensive pad and then leaks, so always have cigarette paper or that Yamaha paper handy, not a bad idea to have your flute tools handy during a performance anyway...
