I was at a second hand book shop while on my last trip to the UK and came across the 1959 "observers book of music". If you dont know, they are like pocketbooks to all kinds of things only really in depth. it has the history of all the instruments and one old type if flute is called the flageolet. it look a lot like an oboe and a flute crossed and i think it would be fun to learn to play. i havnt looked in depth but i was wondering if anyone else had heard of one, had one, or knew some thing about them.
