Hi guys. I've played flute since freshman year in high school and I'm proud to say I'm a band geek. I'm trying to sell my Yamaha Flute 221. I took really good care of it so it's in good condition. This was the first flute I ever bought. Cost me about $700. Who knew these little suckers could be so expensive? I'd really like some tips about where else I could sell it if the ebay aution doesn't work. thanks!

You dare put your hands on a $40 camera!! haha!
I strongly agree with everything Suzie just said. I was too lazy to write it, so thanks Suz! Pictures more than anything is what is going to sell your product and with clearer pictures there are no guessing games that your potential buyers will have to make. It is not that hard to take a good clear picture even with a very inexpensive camera as Suzie just illustrated. Play with your lighting, don't use a flash and use a timer (if you have one) on your camera to get clearer pictures. And take LOTS of detailed photos.

Also, specify what method you will be using to ship it. Customers usually want their item asap, so if you can offer to ship it the next day after payment is made instead of a 3 day handling time, that would attract more people. After all, why would a private seller (non business) need 3 days in order to ship something unless you have to wait for an eCheck to clear? The product should be ready to go before you even list it. Specifying what the international shipping rate will be will also be helpful.

Stating when the last COA has been done on this flute and a good clear close up pictures of the pads would also be helpful.

Any dings or deep scratches? What are the condition of the pads? People will be asking you these questions, so it is best to specify this in your description.

Good luck!

As for even listing html to your photos, you could do this, but let's face it, many people are lazy and don't even want to bother clicking on each individual code to get to another page. It is best just to put the pictures right in your ad. You can do this free through posting them on photo bucket first and then taking html codes and posting them in your description under the html tab. You pictures will then show up in your listing without having to pay any additional ebay fees.

It is so nice of you ask advice and not even bother to follow anything. There were some very helpful tips by these posters and you chose to ignore it. You would have gotten more for your flute if you would have bothered to read the advice. I love it how people just disappear without even so much as a thank you. How rude! This is one of the reason I choose not to answer a lot of these threads.
