My name is Kate, Kara was just a screen name. I am not even going to respond to that last nonsense. It was never meant as an attack

<Added>

PS. Sorry for using the word crap. I didn't mean it as a dirty word. I could have relayed my thought using a better term such as junk or something.

spark12, thanks.

Sure you can order optional Yamaha headjoint as you like, they will give you whatever you request, that's just business, they just take out the stock head and then give you your wanted head, I mean you can order a Powell Signature flute with optional Aurumite 14k Headjoint, that's your choice, but what flute should you call it? Signature flute? No, it's a FREAK. The Signature flute won't be able to stand the energy that Aurumite 14k Headjoint produces, becuz it was not designed for.

I'm just trying to help pls don't use other headjoints if you are student, may not be good for you. I swear on my life, two professional principal flutists told me so.

I have to respectfully disagree. For the brief time that I owned a Powell Signature, I tried many headjoints on it including an Aurumite and there were not problems with it at all. Are you saying that a Powell flute can't handle a different cut, style or brand of headjoint? The Signature is almost identical to the Conservatory line. Powell says that they are just less handmade. So, if that was the case, then the Conservatory line which is also available in the 14 Aurumite, would not be able to handle an Aurumite headjoint, The bodies of both flutes are identical right down to the placement of the holes. You are welcome to contact Rebecca at the Powell company and I am sure she would be happy to verify what I say.

A flute being called a FREAK because it has a different headjoint on it? However,I certainly do understand what you are getting at when you call it a freak. I have heard of many people taking Yamaha student flutes and putting a professional Sankyo or such type of headjoint on it. Would that then also be called a FEAK flute? If the body is made well, then there is no reason that it could not handle a different headjoint than that of the factory one. People change headjoints all the time, it is nothing new.

I am certainly not calling you a liar, or trying to attack you, so please don't interbred this post also like that. I realize that you most likely are going by on information that someone else has told you, but I disagree with that information.

"don't trust vendors, they lie all the time or mislead you."

I am proud to say that I am the most honest vendor you will ever encounter and have had many happy customers. I do it to simply help people, I am not in it for a huge profit, it is more of a hobby to me. So I have no need to lie or mislead people, I simply do not benefit in such things. To say such a thing is false. Not ALL vendors lie and mislead you. There are honest vendors out there who really want to help people. I have noticed you post put downs on vendors many times in your posts. There are very nice and honest vendors on this forum (such as Suzie for one) that I am sure do not appreciate such things.

Interpret not Interbred. Stupid spell checker! I missed that one, sorry.

From the looks of Pyrioni's posts, it seems to be that his flute master classes aren't doing him much good. I think he is taking the wrong classes. He needs more like anger management classes instead. Only a freak of a person would call a flute a "freak." That is the dumbest thing I have read yet on this forum!

Sorry Kate about mixing up your name (I'm a newb, lol). But thanks for the correction.

Pyrioni, I am no professional at flute...but I've certainly heard about ppl using a Yamaha student model body w/ a better headjoint. Even an EC w/ a Yamaha 200 body. BTW, what is up w/ all these negative thumbs down?

Okay Micron, that is enough. I have nothing to do with the thumbs down. YES, I did thumbs some of them down myself but that is it. You point the finger at me every time you don't like something in this forum. I for one have had it. I left the last time for several months with out any plans to return simply because of this. I only came back because many of my friends had written to me and asked me to. This personal grudge that you have with me is over the top and has went on for way too long.
I have made it very clear at least a couple of times already in my posts that my name is Kate. I do not want to be called Kara. Kara was a screen name only originally made up to protect my identity on the internet. I want people to know my real name, since everyone already knows my identity since selling flutes over the internet.
If you can't respect that, then the only thing responsible for me to do is to not respond to you any further.

<Added>

Oh and spark, that is okay :) I was more referring to a couple of other long time members on this forum that used to know me as Kara.

"Judging from the patterns of past happenings in this forum, it is pretty clear that a person (of the Kate/Kara-camp) has found a way of easily doing multiple thumbs-down, or is so fixated on doing this that they have registered multiple identities specifically for the thumbs-downing, or has a band of non-contributors to the forum who act a puppets doing thumbs-downing."

Rubbish! How many members are there on this forum?? It only takes six of them to blank someones posts,, or are you not aware of that?

Funny too micron, how Kate comes back, then "Freak" turns up as well, his he doing that on purpose to make her leave again? Are you trying too do that as well?? you seem to have a gruge with her!
And why are you defending "Freak" so much?? Maybe its you with multiple identities, you could be masquerading as him.

Silly little boy!! a 15 year old you knows everything but nothing.
He nearly distroyed this forum before,, its up to members now to stop him doing it again.

"Would you cnoose words with the exact shade of meaning intended, if you were sriting in Hebrew, Binx?"
Sorry, can't catch what you are trying to say. Is English also your second language?

"No grudge at all. That is entirely in your mind."
Seems that someone is in denial. Anyone with half a brain can register that there is a grudge there.
I was one of them to also vote the posts down.

"But I defend a person who is personaly attacked as you do, every time Pyrioni appears. Everything was recently amicable here until you did that again. Look in the mirror, Kate!"

Sorry, didn't see any attacking on Kate's end there buddy. Don't be so sensitive! So she said that the information that "FREAK BOY" gave was a load of crap. So what. I didn't see any name calling or knives being thrown. You have a funny way of looking at things if you think that that is attacking someone. All the thumbs down were for a reason. People don't like what freak boy has to say. They thumbs mine down too and you don't see me crying about it. Be a man. That IS what your are isn't it?
Yup, I am a jerk and you probably see this as attacking you but it is only the internet dude, so lighten up.

I also seem to notice that little freak boy disappeared right after Kate did. Now Kate is back and he is back all of a sudden? You see Micron, I also defend people when I think that they are being attacked. Especially to people that are my friends and have been kind to me. Like usually Micron will no doubt have a mouth full to say.

Here we go again.

Some of you are more arrogant than any living person has a right to be.

A lot of you are wildly pointing fingers without any proof.

None of you are contributing.

Can everybody just make the effort to act more mature than five year olds and let this unhealthy little spat die?

if yamaha flutes were designed to use specific head joints there would be a note attached to inform you that this is the case otherwise it would be missleading that other headjoint are avalable for any models.

and would leave a opening to legal action for fraud and false and missleading advertising as this disclamer or note is not attached and allso the fact of giving so many options and types of headjoints avalable then what was said about specific headjoint cuts for specific bodys can only be incorect.

we all know how easy it is to change intonation as we all do slight corrections all the time the is no such thing as a perfect scale whats good for one may not be for another

so i have to totaly disagree with what was said it just dont make sense and you would have to be informed if this was the case. Any cut for any body unless notified.

and for the record my yamaha 511 came with a handmade cy head joint body type 5
