I decided to take a break and look on youtube for some true talent. I was so impressed by this sister dual. Just to think, this flute player here is only 13! This my friends is true talent! Well rounded beautiful tone, good technique and passion. This girl really uses expression and puts her heart into playing. Something you don't often see at such a young age. Bravo!!!!

Enjoy!

Now that is talent! I bet that girl doesn't have a huge ego which in the long run she will go a lot further then SOME people because of this. Plus, she actually HAS talent. Nice!

Awwwww. I've seen both of these girls in the past. I personally don't like to watch and rave over "prodigies," since I'm picky and hesitant to overreact to any performance. Usually, I see little children playing just notes, no style within the technique, no emotion, no musicality. And while they're just "kids," I wouldn't post a comment saying, "OMGZZZ YOU'RE SO AWESOME. YOU'RE THE MOST TALENTED PLAYER ON THE EARTH." But there are always couple of exceptions. These two girls are quite good, I must admit.

Dominique shows a lot of love in her playing compared to other children. You should check out her recent videos. She matured dramatically! She's 15 right now, I think. (And yes, her sister Valerie, too, is quite talented! The little girl played busted out Bach's prelude & fugue, which I am playing right now. -_-')

Also, Emma (GeoRockMin) is such a sweetie. She leaves the cutest comments ever. She is just humble and adorable. And she is so passionate about the flute. Also, I wouldn't expect such an interpretation of Fantasie Faure from a seven year old. So I was quite impressed. And jealous, b/c she played w/ Carol Wincenc.

I remember when she played in a master class I was in, and two of my friends and I were like "...if we only started playing when she did. She's going to become famous someday."

I have checked out Emma's videos and read her responses to her friends. What a nice girl! Now she is going to go far with that type of musicianship. She is a great example to many. When musicians have too much of an ego that can lead to nastiness to other people, now those are the type of people that won't be hired for any type of job. It won't matter how good they are!

Binx does have a point. I have heard of someone getting kicked out of a top position in an orchestra because of personality issues. If you are hard to work with, people won't hire you back. A person can still have a ego, if it is healthy and they keep it to themselves and work with others.

I'm sorry if I seem confused by your response Micron, but what does this have to do with Pyrioni?

I suppose I should have been more specific in my response and said that I was referring to adults. Though Pyrioni is a young adult, well on his way

<Added>

Just so this doesn't get misread.. when I said well on his way, I meant well (being doing a great job at flute) on his way to adulthood.

Please, don't make this into another thread like the last one.

My original post of this topic had nothing to do with Pyrioni. Simply a misinterpretation on your part. Completely a new thread.
I'm off to a another thread. Carry on...

"Perhaps those angelic young women the links point to are total S&^%s in some internet forum. We just don't know.

For anybody else in this forum, do I/we really know what they are like in real life? No!"

For all they know, you (Micron) and I could be tolerable and actually nice in real life!

Funny Suzie, I know people in different areas of the world too and the only time someone is rude is because they are
A). Just a jerk or B.) Have a personality flaw. I would categorize me as A. I can't begin to categorize Micron!

The only problem I find with child prodigies is the parents who push their kids to the utmost extreme. This can cause strain on the teachers and the children.

Yes, and to get back to the topic...
You do have to wonder if they get gypped from their childhood.

Check out this cutie! And awwh... she wants to play the flute too! I can't wait for that!
