Here we go again! Micron, you should double check that before posting something the crude if you don't know for sure. This is what I came up with. You just love stirring the pot, don't you.

you have to take into account that pyronni if i remember comes from hong kong and untill recently was part of the commonwealth and english was widely used and tought. from experience i have found most asians consider anglo-saxons to be inferior.
this is allso due to the fact that china, hong kong, still is under comunist rule when you grow up being told your superior and encoraged to express it in everything thay do.
Yes thay can play flute but from what i have seen its allmost robotic or mechanical and just dont seem to be able to express emotion or play pieces the way the composer intended it to be played.
a true artist will take you on a trip and tell the story thats not written with words or notes and from the posts on youtube of pyronni's yes he plays the notes but has no grasp on the emotion or the story thats being told and is unable to take you on that trip to me his playing is cold and quite mechanical and realy lacks emotion and feeling its just a group of notes being played and lacks the story it's trying to tell.

BRAVO!!!!! You my friend have a good ear!

As for Micron, there was not reason to bring up a quote on this forum where someone else is bashing the US. It is clear that anyone can pick up your hatred toward the US by reading various posts that you have written throughout the years on any forum. Is this a personality blunder or are you going to blame in on your nationality?

sorry micron pyroni has been tought to play the notes get through the piece and move on to the next and as long as there is no mistakes well thats all that matters and he will allways play that way he will only ever see a collection of notes and not a story waiting to be told and this is something you cant fake it comes from within you dont hear it you feel it and you either have it or you dont and if you think that a robotic technique takes precidence then you oviously only ever see notes as well its like a bad habit easy to learn damn hard to change especialy when you only see notes and was tought to only see notes. anyone can be tought to play a collection of notes but very few can truly play music.

Well coming from an asian myself, I do agree that many people of my race do play robotically. And maybe that is because Asia is just "musically behind" than others. We haven't contributed to classical music or anything of that sort for that long, compared to some countries in Europe. This whole idea of raising classical musicians is only recent compared to the countries in Europe. But, I live in America so I've been taught differently, etc. So not all asians play robotically. There are many asians in the music school community division I go to that are absolutely fantastic! Having said that, it's not just asians. I will say that many people in America don't know how to play musically either.

I also agree with Micron that many people just learn how to phrase the music but they can't feel the music. I am guilty of it myself when I'm in a bad mood and just play the stuff for the heck of it. Once again, on YouTube, there are few young flutists who show true musical maturity. But just b/c you're not mature enough doesn't mean you don't have the potential. There's always room to improve on that aspect. IDK my stance personally is that you do need some sense of musicality. But it doesn't matter how much heart + emotion you have. You gotta get the basic down and learn how to use it to express those emotions effectively. You can't just have the heart and play horribly. At the same play, you can't just use all the mechanical things just for the heck of it. They're just there to facilitate your own personal feelings into the music.

Here's another good one.

Also, another thing, the whole thing w/ musical maturity. Some people just might not possess the talent to connect to their emotions. But I think some do but it's just kind of "sleeping" inside of them. BTW, I'm just adding my 2 cents, this has nothing to do w/ defending or siding w/ anyone about the drama.

one little know it all boy causes soooo much trouble, why can't he go away and play soulless flute somewhere else, and let this forum go back to how it was before he showed up.
Everyone talking about him will just inflate his massive know it all ego even more..

The root of all evil on this forum is Micron. Pyrioni has not helped matters when he first joined either. I would be happy to see both of them go. Micron delights in agitating and inciting controversies whenever the opportunities present themselves. Ban, at least, Micron from the forum and, this forum would be more at peace. It is too bad that the current moderator is unwilling to let members have a say in whom we would rather not have post on this forum any longer. The "old gang" has since been lost or, post very sparingly now. Many in whom I have spoken with that have shared their feelings about one particular member that has driven them away. This has been a great loss to our forum. Starting up a new thread asking people to vote and showing it to the moderator would not work either. Members will not want to jeopardize themselves in fear of retaliation and will choose not to speak up. Until the moderator makes a move to resolve this matter, we are back to square one.

Can the drama quit it?

http://www.youtube.com/user/mmcoopstar

I've talked to her before...she seems like a really hard worker. And she hasn't been playing the flute for very long.

If you want the drama to end then Macaroni and his b*** buddy need the boot! Pyrioni was kicked off of the James Galway chat forum because he stirred up so much trouble. So now he is here. I was told by a reliable source that Micron was also kicked off that forum. They had a moderator that cared. Micron buddy, you are grasping at straws when you try and make excuses that only a couple of people have a problem with you. Where are all the regulars that this forum used to see? Gone because of you!

binx, you just have to malign everybody all the time, to stir up people's emotion so you can sit back and eat your popcorn, this is very common in many forums. (Macron pls stop argue with trolls, they use many different accounts to play on you, you are just feeding their desire, man they had no life 24 hours here - a sad life they lead)

I post from time to time on Galway Flute Chart, and even have been advised by Sir Galway himself on scales, what to practise, he even gave us direction on Marcel Moyse's exercises.

He even praised me on top notes:

"Dear xxxxxx,

I think you are doing very well with these top notes. Very well indeed...

Best wishes,
Sir James (Galway),
Switzerland.
July 8, 2009" - still showing on Galway Flute Chat you can check it if you like.

Wow, Kate you are no.1 on 8notes lead by almost double points. Guess you own this place, sorry.

Micron is the 3rd on 8notes, he's my teacher's teacher, I guess he supports me, lol.

Patrick is the 4th on 8notes, he has seen me in person and he taught me in a private lesson after masterclass. He said, "it was great to teach such a talented and dedicated student....you sounded good, don't worry about it" -
http://www.8notes.com/f/25_253501.asp

praised and encouraged by top forumers, then I am happy.

also praised by London Symphony Principal:
"Hi Pyrioni
I just came across your video. Sounds really good. Keep it up.

Best wishes

Gareth Davies
Principal Flute LSO

p.s. I play on a Yamaha too! "

and Greg Pattillo:
"Re: the flight of the bumblebee

Sweet. Keep up the good work.

Greg Pattillo"

and other masters in masterclasses then I am happy, don't worry about me Micron and Patrick, I won't be easily disencouraged by critiques, I love them, I improve from critiques and advices from many top professors on the web like Nina Perlove and others. I know I have lots of flaws and problems, but I am dedicated to flute. I'll improve on your advices

How many other famous people do you have to name drop to improve your massive ego.
man you have a problem, 15 and an expert on eveything, plus you know all the famous flutists too now.
If you are on such good terms with them, why dont you go onto their forums instead of wreaking this one, its so obvious that you are not liked here.
Go inflate your ego elsewhere.

Just ignore it Pyrioni, like you said.

I have been on here a long time. Of course I don't own this place! Don't be silly Not sure why you apoligized after this? I don't think that I should feel bad over this, if that was your intention. I love to help out others when and if I can. I have been on this forum for many years and have been blessed with meeting many wondeful people because of it. I took a break from it for several months with no intention of coming back until friends wrote to me and asked me to come back.I even had my account closed. I am happy to be back and try my best to just ingnore the nonsense, as you should also. You have many great teachers, that must be fun
