Hey Guys, first of all I need some HELPFUL advice here. Please, I want one thread on here to at least stay clear of an argument! Let's see if we can make it this one!

O.k, I purchased a Gemeinhardt piccolo about a year ago. I had braces at the time, which made it very uncomfortable and hard to play. (those who been in this kinda spot I'm sure will understand.) Ever since I've gotten my braces off my tone has come for an 8 to a 28! (that's from a scale of 1-30, from one of my Judges at All-State) But, even so my piccolo some times is still hard to play. Are they're any exercises I could get to learn to play it so it's not so hard,(hard as in reaching high notes, and getting good clear sound) or do I just need to practice more on it and build up the muscles used for playing?

One more thing, my picc is often hard to get in tune. Is it like that with all piccolo's? Or do I need my tuning cork adjusted?

Thanks guys!!
