Hi guys!

I've got a japanese Yamaha YFL221N. I want to sell it, but I don't know how much to ask for.
It's in good shape, it could use a manteinance and a pad change. A secondary b key needs repair too.
I've also a question, ¿the Yamaha YFL-211N It's better or not than mine, Yamaha YFL-221N?

Now I want to know how much to ask for my flute that needs some cleaning ans repair.

A YFL221N will be rather old now & Yamaha are on about their third, improved(?) version since then. If it needs a total repad then you cannot ask much at all. I wouldn't pay any more than £35-40 here in UK.

Both models YFL221 ad YFL211 are current models as you can see if you visit Yamaha's WEB. The main difference is that the 211 is equipped with E-mechanism. Some people prefer not to have it and choose the 221, but I am used to it and so I prefer the 211.

These student flutes have a low reselling price if they need repairs. Probably not more than 100$ in Europe, less in USA.

You would probably be better off to get it the necessary repairs before trying to sell it. Then, once it is in top playing condition, the person wanting it can play-test it, see that everything is in working order, and buy it if they like the way they sound on it.
