Thank you so much in advance, I've been stumped by this for a while and am at a loss as to which Flute I should get.

Try them all, then decide which sounds best for you. Or, have your teacher or an experienced flutist you trust give you some guidance.

That is good advice GoldenFlute. Also it depends on how much you want to spend and what kind of quality you want. What are your goals in playing flute? Consider that too.

Does a Solid Silver Body really make a difference in Sound Quality?

And is the Forza Headjoint worth getting over the Pearl Standard Headjoint Cut?

At the moment I'm just playing for fun and for my School's Orchestra and Bands but I'd really like a nice Flute that will not break the bank.. (I'm 15)

I don't know anyone that has tried any Pearl Flutes to ask really.. because all my friends play on Yamahas or Jupiters and I'm not too sure where I can try all the Headjoint Cuts as I'm not too sure where to find a Pearl Dealer..

Thank you very much for your advice!

You might try posting this at Fluteland.com where Joe the Pearl Flutes Product Specialist posts. He can tell you everything and anything about Pearl flutes.

Pearl lip plates are solid 10K gold not plated. I would go with one of the 695/795 models. Better headjoint, better keywork, nicer accessories.

Thank you very much for the help guys!

Also, I've been wondering, is it worth getting a Split E?

While I've heard some good things about it I've also heard a few bad things about Split E's..

Would you recommend a Split E Key, and what exactly does it do?

<Added>

I'm also wondering, what is the difference between the Forza and the Forte Headjoint?

I've found an Elegante Model for sale with a Forte Headjoint.

Is the Forte just a different name for the Forza headjoint?

The split E is an automatic mechanism that gives you proper venting for an acoustically correct High E. The G keys are not linked and two clutches are added to make this work. Some people feel the extra regulations are more potential for things going wrong and more maintenance to repair. But it's really negligible as far as maitenance is concerned.engraved on the barrel. Those are the older models made in the japan pro factory and a much better flute by comparisonn

If you found an Elegante with a Forte headjoint, find out if it has Japan engraved on the barrel. These are the older models made in the Pro Japan factory and a much better instrument overall. The Forte is a pro cut headjoint. Lots of undercutting, a good sized traditional embouchure dimension and very high walled riser for the aggressive player. It is capable of large amounts of volume and flexibility in the hands of the right player.

The Forza is a bit brighter for most people but more controllable. It's design is for the intermediate player. Current Elegantes are made in our Taiwan factory.

One more thing..
The models you listed are all In Line G. Split E is only available on Offset G.

You can get an offset model without Split E from Pearl also. The vast majority of people do get the split E with the offset so we don't stock to many or they can be special ordered.

Joe,

Just curious, why is the Split-E available only on an Offset G? My Brannen and Haynes are Inline-G and both have Split-Es.

You can get an In-Line Split E on our pro flutes made in Japan but not on the Taiwan flutes.

Thank you all very much for your help!~

I'm pretty sure I want the 795 now!

Although while I have heard that it is a good Flute does anyone here own an Elegante and a Dolce? Or one of them?

What do you like/dislike about them?

Again, thank you very much in advance!
