The 19th annual Hampton Roads Flute Faire will take place on March 10, 2012 at the beautiful Christopher Newport University. Our Guest Artist is Kelly Sulick, lecturer in flute from the University of Virginia - [url=kellysulick.com]kellysulick.com[/url]. She will present a recital and master classes for our High School and College competition winners. Our day will also feature Flute Choirs in concert, open flute lessons with Virginia Symphony flutists, local flute stars in recital, a flute choir reading session and more. Always a favorite is our array of vendors with plenty of flutes, music and accessories for every flutist.

The Solo Competition is the backbone of our wonderful day. Every level of player is invited to compete - Elementary, Middle School, High School, College and Adult Amateur. Repertoire selection is a single piece of your choosing. Prizes will be awarded to the top three in each division. Judges comments are available to everyone.

The Elementary, Middle and High School competition will take place Monday, March 5 at Christopher Newport University. Winners will perform in Master Class on Saturday March 10
