I was using perm papers after each use of my flute. But somehow I misplaced the box when I wasn't playing for awhile. In researching just now, there seems to be high praise for Yamaha papers. My question, which are more useful: Yamaha cleaning papers or Yamaha powder papers, cigarette papers or perm papers?

Any absorbent clean paper will do. Important is that you NEVER pull it out while the key is closed. This can damage the pad.

IMHO a good swab to remove water is sufficient, unless you have a key with acumulated water in it (which, btw would not let you sound that note...). Using paper everytime you play will shorten pad's lifespan.
