Hey.
I am 12 years old. I have played flute on and of for a couple of years. It was actually my first instrument in school band. I now play clarinet, but I still have a flute, so I was looking for some tips on fingerings and embouchure (did I spell that right?), etc. Anything helps.

Thanks.

Also, I was just wondering, is it easy to switch from flute to trumpet? This is a question just for fun.

Hi there, you can try reading from the link below for tips on flute playing to better improve and enjoy your flute playing.

http://www.flutediva.com/flute-tips-for-everyone.html

As you are now playing Clarinet which is already in the key of Bb, that means learning a trumpet will be slightly easier for you. But do take note that all 3 instruments are very different in the way you play and sound creation.

Flute depends on your lips and air speed control, blowing through the lip plate tone hole without 100% of your air going into the flute.

Clarinet depends on the mouthpiece, reed and ligature, by putting the mouthpiece tip into you mouth and make the reed vibrates against the mouthpiece to create the sound.

Trumpet depends on the mouthpiece resting against your lips and by blowing air through to create the vibration between your lips.

Hope you will enjoy learning all the instruments and become a multi instrumentalist!!!

Good Luck! Cheers!
