Got lots questions since I am just the money guy. Here is what I was told by the private lessons teacher on a flute. Cfoot, openhole, split E. Gameinhardt, Azumi , Yamaha. The director said B foot. So what is a the difference and what will get my daughter further along? Shopping Intermediate since she has a student flute and it is getting some issues. My budget is below $2000. but would prefer to stay at 1200 to 1500. I am looking at Azumi and Yamaha intermediates so with the prices I quoted you know the numbers. I was also told about Emerson to me this is a new arrival that I never heard of but being that I don't play not sure what to think.

My questions
IS B Foot vs C foot
Azumi vs Yamaha
Is Emerson a flute to consider

thank you in advance for any advice

Hi there,

I know it's been a little while since you posted your question and perhaps you have already made your decision!

But if not, here's an article that might really help. It explains the features/ terminology used and what you will and won't need for a student model, things to look out for (Ebay flutes etc) as well as making some recommendations based on price.

I hope its helpful,

Christie
