Greetings flutists,

This is my first post on the flute forum, and I would be so grateful for any advice that you can give me. My old flute was a Powell, but now I have a new Muramatsu with a TSUBASA headjoint, and therein lies the problem. I love this instrument, and I have no problem playing scales, but E and F in the low register just won't come out for me when I'm playing intervals. I can only get awful sounding harmonics. Can anyone suggest what the cause might be and how I can correct it? ~ Morgansmith

Talk to the store you bought it from. There could be a minor adjustment needed or head problem. If a reputable company sold it to you they will want you to be happy.

Thank you Contra 448. That's a good idea. I assumed that the problem was me, but I guess it could be the flute.

It must be the flute. Minor adjustment problem or the head joint problem. The company I am sure will be happy assist you.
