Hi,
I am a beginner at learning bansuri.
I have recently wanted to learn bansuri.
I bought myself a G type, transverse (side-blown) 6 holed bansuri.
Its a decent one and I think it plays well.
I have been practicing to blow the bansuri for last few days and have successfully done it, I guess. Next I wished to learn how to play Sa-Re-ga-Ma... on the flute. I wish to learn the flute in a formal way, whereby I learn to play all the tones and then the raagas.
I have searced a whole lot on the internet looking for some websites which guide me to a correct fingering chart for my type of flute. Unfortunately I did not have much luck in that. If found a couple of sites as well
http://chandrakantha.com/articles/indian_music/bansuri.html
http://www.shakuhachi.com/F-Bansuri-Styles.html
As I am new to the music world, I could not judge which of these is correct for the bansuri that I have bought for myself.
If some one could guide me to the correct fingering techniques to play my side-blown 6 holed flute, it will be extremely kind of you.
Thanks and Regards,
Rahul
