i wanna do flute for a career, but i have doubts. what are the possibilities that i can do with it? how can i get into it. i have been playing the flute for 6 years and i intend on doing it forever. it is my life. my passion. but i worry that i will be able to survive from it. i mean. how much money would i make? wat could i do? become a teach? a player in the symphonic orchestra? some one who knows what they are doing help me

u could teach music (privately and/or in a classroom situation), u could play in a symphony, you could become a music therapist (im quite into that at the moment), u could........uh........become a composer, u could become a soloist (altho it would smart to have a back up to this), umm...........wot else? well, i need 2 think. hope this was helpful!

haha music therapy?? i would like to kno more about that, but i am not a good composer, and lol, i am the last person u should go for teaching, thanks though

there`s a lot you can do but I wouldn`t depend on music for a career, it`s not about how good you are, it`s all about how good other people think you are.

if you`re shooting for employment in a symphony start putting in close to 8 hours a day of practice time, get private lessons and make sure you can sightread most music without any mistakes, many times a single flubbed note can cost you that seat in a symphony.

thats got info about music therapy. but its an aussie site so the courses it suggest r in australia. so if ur not australian the courses r no help, but the info is still good!
