I cant reach anything above high D and i can hardly reach that.it comes out shrill and airy.
I have a used Artly 18-0 flute thats in good shape but im looking to buy another one. Could it be that the flute since its used, it just cant reach those notes or is it my embouchure? thanks

If you cant play ANY of those notes it`s probably your flute. Take it in and have them check for leaks. And if you think it`s just you have someone try it.

yeah its prob the flute....if u cant play a certain set of notes above one,,...then theres a huge chance that its leaking somewhere or the pads are loose...
another alternative reason i can think of is prob ure air supply but i dun think it will apply since ure a great flautist!

Yeah,
It`s probably your flute
For future reference, hold your flute up high and don`t blow to hard on really high notes, otherwise you`ll make a buzzing sound.(I did that when I did the high G and G flat for the 1st few times, then I finally fixed my air!
