Hello. I have a gemeindhardt open-hole flute and the rods keep getting loose! Argg...Anyways, I usually just take it with my fingernail and tighten it. It will stay tight for that practice time, but the next time, its loose again. Does anyone know what is causing this? I`m thinking of taking it to a repair shop to just get a check up, but I`m not sure how much that will cost? Thanks.

My old flute was a gemeinhardt and did that too. When I took it in they had said it was just the flute and isnt something that can be fixed.
Just take some clear nailpolish and put it on the part coming loose and then tighten it. Thats what I did and it has only come loose once since then

No. It just keeps them in. I dont know why. My section leader freshman year told me to try it and it worked so it cant be that bad.
