I have been playing my closed-hole offset for 4 years and I would like to upgrade to a open-hole inline. Would this be extremely difficult? I would like to get one soon so I have all summer to get used to it.
Thanx!

No it isnt that hard to get used to it really just depends on what you`re comfortable with.

I use an offset model...
There really is no reason to upgrade to an inline model
It doesn`t make a difference in tone
It just might make it harder to play depending on the size of your hands
Most everyone I talk to says offset is more comfortable and practical

Its your choice of what model you want, but usually they both cost the same price, so it really wouldn`t be a money issue. I got an inline open hole 11/02 and I actually didn`t even notice. The open holes were something you really had to get used to. But may I add that most, if not all, professional flute models (not intermediate or conservatory) are inline, so I think that just change everything all at once if you would like to keep playing the flute way into college years. Hope I helped!

p.s. sorry if I was being biased
