Help! I can`t get an A to come out on flute!! Please r/o.....

It`s the 2nd octave A. (The basic one by the tuning Bb)
It just won`t come out. I`ve just started the flute so I`m sure I`m just doing something wrong. What kind of embouchure should you have? Other tips for a new flute player?

Can you play other notes around it (like B and C)? I`ve never heard of A being a bad note on the flute...
Um...I`d ask your teacher though. It`s possible it`s just something with your flute that needs to be fixed...or maybe you just gotta keep trying.

Yes, I can play other notes around it like the B and C. Maybe it is the flute...Now that I think of it though, I`ve been having a little trouble with any notes using that 2nd key.

It`s probably something that needs to be fixed. If you could compare your flute to someone elses (i.e. in your band, if you`re in band), you might be able to tell. Maybe you have a leak of some sort...:S
