I was just wandering if any of you have found it easier to play the flute when your lips are chap. Because whenever I use like a listerene mouthwash my lips get really chap and I have found that I can play much better, especially the higher notes, and I was wandering if ya`ll have ever done that.

Um...I don`t think I play any better with chapped lips, but like, sometimes playing makes my lips chapped and it`s not cool. Then it`s like hard to play with chapstick or lip gloss on, so blah.

You know it`s odd...but I think it kinda does help. Hurts like heck though. I get chapped lips all the time from playing a double reeded instrument in class and then coming home to the flute.
Odd...I never thought about that, thanks for bringing it up.
