You may have seen this around the forum, but two years ago, i created a thread called "Attention all boy flutists"



Listen, if that thread offended anyone, i`m terribly sorry.

This whole thing was just an anger lash. Two years ago, I was the only male flutist in the entire school, and was constantly made fun of. So for some reason, I targeted all of the girls. I don`t know why I did this, and completely regret it now.


How well you play does not matter if your a boy or girl, but if you put your heart and soul into it.


To end this, I will say once again that I did not mean to offend anyone, and I am terribly sorry for attacking you girls...

i am a girl flute player, and it didnt offend me

i didn`t read all of it, but i don`t think anyone was offended to be honest.. u just said `let`s show the girls what we`re made of` not: `F&&& ALL THOSE STUPID GIRLS WHO THINK IT`S A GIRL THING` HAHAHA... don`t worry about it man.. you jsut want girls to acknowlegde guys can play flute too. i love my woodwinds... one of my best friends plays the flute... and he likes playing flute too... and i tihnk after i try oboe i might try flute (i know clarinet and bassoon)

PS: btw i play fife at home, any type of flute is cool.. the fife helps me get the basic fingerings right when i`m too lazy to bringmy bassoon home.. (damn that thing sucks to lugg home up and down hills lol)

how was that thread offensive?? i`ve read and reread it about 6 times already and can`t find ne thing offensive. just a lot of proud guys who should be proud. because many ppl who are not in band look down upon male flute players. but personally i think they are some of the best flute players.
