hey, i`m just curious, how many kinds of flutes are there and does anyone have pictures for them?
Also... can anyone give me some flute sheet music? I don`t care what kind, as long as you think that it sounds good. I`ve been playing flute for about three years, so... probably the easy level of hard. so probably a 7 one a 1-10.

Thanks guys, feel free to email me hunterhao@gmail.com, it`s ok, send me trojans, I only use public computers. LOL,justing kidding.

thanks once again

Are you referring to just the Boehm family of flutes or all kinds of flutes that were ever made? If you are talking about the first, you have piccolo, C flute, alto flute and bass flute, with the occasional Eb soprano and the contrabass flutes thrown in for good measure. Then you have Irish/Celtic keyless flutes, Baroque flutes, Native American flutes (many, many kinds), pan pipes, the list marches on.

If you are are talking about about all flutes ever made, it would be rather like trying to get your noggin around the concept of multiple solar systems. Many cultures from near the beginning of time had some sort of flute, whether transverse or not. In fact, very recently a 35,000 year old flute was found. How`s that for longeveity?

I did a report on that years ago. If you want to read it, drop me a line.

There are many kinds of flute. Among others I also play soperano and alto woodwind flute, which is a a small wooden instrument, very common in the Middle East. Does any one have scores for this kind of instrument, soperano and alto? where do i got some?

Do a web search or poke around this site some for freebie sheet music. If you`re looking for more traditional flute repertoire though, I suggest you visit your local music store.
