Hi all,
I am new here. I had some headjoints sent to out to me for trial and I am just fustranted because I can`t seem to pick which headjoint I like best on my flute. Out of the ones that I have tried I like the Emanuel W/14 K gold riser and the Powell Signature. I play on a Muramtsu DS and I love the sound of the original headjoint that came on it, but it just doesn`t have the right amount of resistance for my style of playing.
Both headjoints are more open and easier to play dynamicaly then the original one that it came with. The Powell is airy sounding but yet very open. Hmmm... Sorry to vent out so much. Does anyone have any experience with an Emanuel headjoint?

There is not really much that can go wrong with a headjoint, so if you like it, buy it. Asking an opinion of a headjoint won`t really help you because we all play differently...just make sure you have tried it out on YOUR flute. So many people fall into the trap of testing headjoints on different instruments

Oh yes, I agree on that one.
All headjoints play and sound different on every flute. I know that I like it, I was more curious as to if anyone here owns an Emanuel. I talked to the maker and was quit impressed. Really nice guy! I seemed to try out all the really popular one (minus the Lafin) and didn`t really like most of them.

It may be difficult for you to find someone who owns one because they are a small company. This doesn`t necesserily mean anything about the quality of their instruments
