Well I always saw that people that didn`t even play an instrument at my high school were snobby.

that was just plain wrong what your friend did to you. i know that most flutes can be snobby, but not all of them. i`m not sayin this just because i`m a flute player, but also because a few of my friends are flute players. and i have a question for her(actually 2 of them)- 1. who`s the snobby one- you didn`t ditch her she ditched you AND 2. if you were really snobby would you have been friends that long or wouldnt you have already found another crowd to hang out with?

Flute players arent the same. Believe me, most people these days are snobby and some play flutes. I play and am anything but snobby and am definately anti-prep. I do it for the music, not the people, the snobs suck.

The section leader of the flute section in my band is snobby, but I`ve found most of the flute players I`ve met are actually really nice. I think musicians are the nicest people I`ve ever met.

thats ridiculous! What instrument you play doesnt mean you are it. Like guys playing flutes are g a y, which they are not! And flute people are snobby, yea right. I play numerous of instruments so does that mean i have a mixed personality because i play different instrumets that have different steriotypes(sp?)? I sure know that I dont. Ok I play the flute & some ppl say I`m snobby but that`s b/c they don`t know me & they don`t realize I joke around a lot so I`m not seriously snobby. Even my band director jokes about us flutes being snobby but he`s just joking. I know there are some flute players that are snobby, but that`s not b/c they`re flautists, it`s just b/c they`re snobby. Our section leader`s snobby too but it has nothing to do w/the flute. She doesn`t even like band that much & she`s leaving after this trimester so I`m glad. I just don`t see why ppl would say something about u just b/c of ur instrument. Yeah, just because someone plays flute doesn`t mean they are a snob. Various people play various instruments, no one person is alike. Just about every floutist I have met is very cool, is just a steriotype. It`s sad, but that`s life- have a positive attitude and let God guide you and everthing will be alright!
