Have you all heard about the deletion of Chatterbox, the million long thread? It was 2000+ replies long at its demise at the hands of the moderators of 8notes. Go check the oboe forum! We got a new forum up, one that only deletes profain subjects.

What exactly is the point that Ventor is trying to make?

Well, more or less, they just really pis*ed me off. I know the administrator of the other forum, and I know the that perticular administrator was part of our chatterbox, and while we tecknicly didn`t neccesarly always talk music, it was by no means necesary to delete the thread, which was over 2000 replys at it`s demise. Now, I`m not necessarly saying we should boycott this site, but I think they need a poilicy change. the content of Chatterbox was not bad, like many postings in the forums here*have you ever licked a girls ....*, and * do you get "happy" when you hear a goodtone, i do...*... and so on. If 8notes decides to delete forums, they can at least have a content policy.

I also think that thier attack upon the site was unnecesary and cruel. They asked for it, i`m giving it to them

The way a froum is set up can place limits on the length of threads. if "chatterbox" was approaching a limit which damaged function of the forum, even say speed of access, and it was largely idle chatter, then I see no reason to keep it.

Also, this forum is free for our use. SOMEBODY is paying for the facility. None of us has ANY right to say how it is run if we are not paying.

What are you trying to communicte? It seems to have failed, at least in my case.

Don`t you understand?! If 8notes deletes aidle chat topic, theyshould as well delete many of the forums and topics out there right now! So, yes, we didn`t like them deleting our topic, but if they claim that it slows them down, they need to be CONSISTANT and delete every other damn subjects thats idle! This includeds a LOT of topics up! So, they obvuisly have no problems maintaining these forums, or they would also delete the other ones.
*note, due to the technical keytypping, adding a space between some words would result in all of this being retyped.

This is a FLUTE forum, if you want spout your critique of society there are several FREE forums out there for that kind of thing. But the mods here are enforcing the rules for this site because they own and maintain it. So take your WHINE (that how the word is spelled) somewhere else.

BTW getting off topic got so bad at the j-tull chat space that the moderators shut down the "Off The Pace" area

There are whole threads of useless junk! There are lots of forums that have never even been looked at! Chatterbox was drawing people who could have eventually become pauing members to the site. This is crazy! Why don`t they delete the threads no one ever uses instead of the ones that everyone uses!? I`m with Ventor101 al the way!

On second thought, it is probably handeled by the computers. However, this is no excuse! They should have caaught our hints after Million Long thread was rermoved. Seriously, who could miss all of the outraged threads about that? these people are either blind or sadistic.

Hmm... Meme, if you are so against idle chatter, how do you explain the "hey meme" thread which is one big complaint about the moderators?

Actually, I am the one that started the "Hey Meme thread." And I was the one that started the complaining about another site moderator, not Meme.
