Hi everyone my name is kevin today when i went to my band class. There was this boy playing his flute and he was playing the D scale and he played it in 3 octs. So I was wondering how to play in 3 octs can anyone healp

Just get a fingering chart, and do a heap of practice. There are several notes possible higher than the 4th octave D, but excellent embouchure and breath support are needed, espicially if you want your audience to enjoy hearing them!

heres how to finger those three notes in their oct.

low oct.- all fingers except the pinkies
middle oct.-thumb 2 3 on left and 1 2 3 on the right(no pinky)
high oct.- thumb 2 3 on left and then just the pinky on right
