I was just wondering if im the only psycho who names his instruments, I`ve been asking around and in my music academy I am probably the only person who does.

If you name your flute, I`d like to know what you called it and why, mebbe there`s an interesting story behind it.

I currently have two flutes, Tifa is my first ever flute, a little old, and not the best there is, but is strong and has a soft tone, I just got a new one, a Yamaha kick ass version (I wont go into the details) but she`s bright and silvery, so I named her Luna. OMG now Im calling my flute "her"............maybe I am a psycho......

Anyways, pleez post you`re replies, I`d like to hear them.

Back when I was in high school I had a huge crush on this older guy, that was the church choir with me. I was 15 and he was 22. So, I named my flute after him. I don`t have the flute anymore, but I have him who has been my lovingly husband for the past 4 years.

Now that is cool!! sniff, sniff. And soooo romantic. Congratulations!

no, i don`t name my instruments. i`ve only had the opportunity to use 3. 2 clarinets and 1 bassoon. still haven`t named any... iunno what i`d name them neways.. haha... `jessica alba the bassoon` maybe? lol

I am from the clarinet forum and yes I do name my instruments. My main clarinet is Zoe the 4th...the other three are zoe the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd lol

heck yeah i do, my trusty old flute of 5 years is Yahmie a Yamaha Allegro, and my current baby is the talented Lady Pearl... it is an amazing professional pearl flute. well i guess i would just post this to let you know that there is someone else out there that names their "babies"

My flutes have no names but my last car (that I just traded in this evening, *sniff, sniff*) was Saffy. Not Ab Fab but that old Donovan tune. Yup, she was yellow I`m sure gonna miss my little zoom zoom...

I don`t name my intruments or cars, but I did name my four children, and did a fine job at it, if I do say so myself.

Supposing I wanted a name for mine, what would YOU name it? Open holes, silver, new, Sonare, etc. I`m just curious as to what the responses will be. Sarcastic comments will be ignored so don`t waste your time. Not sure if I really want a name but I`m just curious.
