What grade are you looking at doing and what level are you at?

solo/ensemble is where you yourself go to competitions and get rated. last year a couple friends of mine went and one played minuet and the other played menuet as solos. but if you are to do a solo you must have an accompanist. ensemble is a group of you who decide on a piece to play together. last year the percussion in my high school band played an awesome piece. i don`t remember what it was called but it is always heard in the chase scenes of cartoons. they memorized the whole piece. which is pretty amazing concidering the piece was about 4 pages long!
