Get help quick gal!
I got my tongue stuck in my saxophone for twenty seven hours. The doctor had to amputate and now I can`t taste salty
I have to play bass. But I wrote a song about it:

I tongue is really special,
it`s a terrible thing to waste.
My bari got my tongue-
and now I got no taste...

Relax, this has happened to many people. Just a consequence of experimentation and probing with your tongue. It is not part of playing, but is just one of those temptations. You should have pulled your tongue out before it was swollen. When it happened to me, I was alone and had to pull my tongue out by force. There will be some laceration, but it can heal without sutures. Soap does not help. Also, expect to lose your sense of taste for about 4 weeks, but afterwards it will return. Clean your flute as required, that`s where soap helps. You should have no problems. Take care!

Wot Wot!!! I say chap, you got your tounge stuck in a flute?? what a bl*ody misdeamer! I say, a carrot should give you those vitamins you need to get your senses back. or at least your night vision! i say though, next time it happens, metal expands as you heat it wot wot (weelll, eventually heat will "expand" anything) so that would help your tail... er tounge get out! Though you`de better be careful chap or else you`ll cause burns to your thingy, whatsitcalled. tail? Well, whiskers! you tounge of course chaps!

word dude, I was playing my bagpipes, and like you know how the mouthpiece is, on the inside sortof, man it got completly stuck, i like lost the tip of my tounge!!! I couldn`t play for like months, so man I took up percussion and bass, but that sh*t is hard to play dude. My tounges hangen though. As for my bagpipe, i got a new mouthpiece (well the equivelant to woodwinds)kindof. Man, I don`t even know my bagpipe terms. but word man, get it out, or you`ll get it completly infected playah. I can play agian though now.

Well, seems as though it`s a prank post. Anyways, wouldn`t it be hard to get your tongue stuck in a flute anyways!? You don`t play with your tongue nowhere in the embouochure hole, plus the sides are sharp so you would notice very quickly that it hurts before it gets stuck and to add more, the flute is shallow that you would only need the tip of your tongue to touch the wall. Jeez Louise everyone. Jeez Louise Jeez Louise

It`s possible it happened, but I did have my doubts.

okay, i was about to say....you can`t be serious right? because that would mean that you have some suck *ss technique when playing and need to seriously get over it. well, in any case, getting tongues stuck in things can be a butt so good luck in any case

I think it may have happened, because while I havn`t had it happen to me, still new and undecided seemed to know what was up.
