Hey! I`m in the 5th grade and I`m about 11 yrs. old!! I`ve been playing for almost 3 yrs. I started in 3rd grade. It is the end of the school year and I`m entering 6th grade! The flute is so awesome! I`m not in band, but I will be next year or 7th grade! Well, see ya all those!

Hey! I started playing flute in third grade too! I`m in eighth grade and I have always been first chair. Starting early helps, but practice, practice, practice until your Mom begs you to stop, then practice some more. Maybe we will end up being professional flutists someday!!!!

No doubt about it amberflute! I`ve always had the 1st chair, and probably always will. I was even thinking about joining an orchestra!!!!!

i played the flute in sixth and seventh grade. i wasn`t given an opportunity to play earlier than that. i switched to sax half way thro my seventh grade yr. i`m in ninth now and section leader in my high school band. flute still strikes a cool chord in me, i just wasn`t very good. some good music to listen to would be irish flute or Jethro Tull. look him up online, he plays flute rock. literally english rock music.

I started playing flute in 4th grade and I`m in 6th grade.
I am 1st chair and the only 6th grade first chair too! I beat 2 7th graders and an 8th grader. Music is in my family since like my great x 3 grand parents all my grandma`s played flute and my mom does to my uncles play guitar and trombone, my aunt plays sax. so I guess i kinda inherited flutieness!

hehe. sorry morgan. yeah, i knew that ian played the flute in the band. he`s my favorite out of the group tho so i usually will refer to him as tull b/c of the favoring factor. awful i know. yeah, have you heard sweet dreams? if so can u explain that song to me? what`s it about?
