Ok so in band class I have been playing flat for the past 2 weeks or so. So my director switched me to 4 strength reeds (Vanderon V12) and I got in tune but my sound has suffered greatly. I got several 4`s and my best 3 1/2`s and came home. I warmed up well (on both types) then tuned on each. The 3 1/2 was in tune!!!! The 4 was too but the sound still isnt nearly as good. Any insight as to why I might be flat at school and in tune at home? Any help would b great! Thanx.

the school could be much warmer than your home...that could cause your instrument to be sharp at school and not at home.
