Hello all,
I am thinking about upgrading from my lovely hard-rubber clarinet to one of a wood, though I`m not sure about which wood... I was thinking about a Grenadilla Buffet E11 or R13, or perhaps a Rosewood Patricola CL2S. Right now I`m even looking into something cheap, perhaps redwood.
What do you guys/gals recommend?

Hm, I was about to suggest the Buffet R13--I`m not exactly familar with the clarinet--I only started in september so...but I also think its best you start with the cheapest wooden clarinet but it`s also of a good brand--not a bad one.
Wooden clarinets are wonderful I heard the tone is rich and smooth! I`m hoping to get one myself one day...

HI I play a R-13 Prestige and It is wood. The wooden clarinet has such a wonderful tone and I has such a great response but the thing is you cannot just leave it anywhere because the clarinet will have a crack and you have to get it fixed or it is no good but these clarinets will last you a long time. And most of wooden clarinets are are Intermidiate and Professional clarinets so your choices if you want to pursue your musical carrer then I suggest my clarinet or Buffet R-13 that is the regular those are the two most popular and they come in silver or nickel plated keys silver cost alittle much then nickle so that is my opinion on clarinet buying or searching.
