Concert band:
27 flutes
1 Oboe
11 Clarinets
4 Bass Clarinets
11 Alto Sax
2 Tenor Sax
9 Trumpet
2 French Horn
1 Euphonium
2 Tuba
10 Percussion
1 Bassoon
1 String Bass
Wind ensemble:
4 Flutes
2 Oboes
6 Clarinets
2 Bass Clarinet or Contra-Clarinet
2 Alto Sax
1 Tenor Sax
1 Bassoon
4 Trumpet
2 French horn
1 Trombone
1 Euphonium
1 Tuba
5 Percussion
1 Piano
There used to be a lot more in wind ensemble, BUT the director cut the chairs for probably three reasons:
(1) The wind ensemble (which is world-known by the way) goes to Europe every year to cut down on expensives for finding a place to stay ALTHOUGH each member has to pay a certain fixed cost.
(2) This year is the director`s second year of directing and there was a rough start last year...it wasn`t as good as it was...
(3)There were a lot, and I mean A LOT of Seniors last year.
