Hi - thanks for taking the time to read this post - I really need it! I recently found a Clarinet in my attic, and need some help with it. On the base is a pressed mark that reads `EARLHAM` in large capitals, and under that in smaller print `Supervised by French Technicians`. The top mouthpiece is made by `Selmer`, and is a `Golden Tone 3`. It is in nice condition, and looks like wood (or a cleverly done plastic wood-effect). In the box are 3 `Rico` reeds, and there is a metal cover for the mouthpiece. The clarinet is complete (from my brief experience in my youth).
My problem is, I cannot find any reference on the internet to an `Earlham` Clarinet with `Supervised from French Technicians` on, and cannot find a similar clarinet - especially one with a `Selmer` mouthpiece. Any ideas anyone? Is this item a real complete Earlham (and is that a good brand?), or is it just a mixture of different parts?
My second question is this - The clarinet comes in a fitted case (no maker`s mark), and with 3 `Rico` reeds. My question therefore is - is this clarinet with accompanying items worth anything? Any advice would be greatly appreciated - I have no use for it, and wouldn`t mind some extra cash!
Sorry for all of these questions, but I really don`t know the answers! I just hope that somebody out there does...
Many Thanks,
