Can anyone suggest a good clarinet mouthpiece for high school marching band? Nothing too expensive, but something that sounds good and that they can be heard on. Thanks.

I think the VanDoren brand or the Runyon brand of mouthpiece does great for this. Look on runyonproducts.com and read Santy Runyon`s article from Woodwind World, dated 1960 (that`s right, 1960) for factual information from one of the world`s foremost experts on woodwind mouthpieces. I can think of few mouthpieces that project more than a Runyon with a baffle. His hard rubber mouthpieces are reasonably priced. The article will help explain how to get the right facing and length.
