Have been playing Clarinet for a few months, and am greatly enjoying it. I`ve already asked about how to get that peculiar Klezmer sound, but have only gotten one very kind reply...Maybe my last post was too specific, so in the hope of getting more replies ;-)... Anyone here plays Klezmer? Can anyone give me any kind of tips about how to play it? Anybody knows anythings about Klezmer scales and sounds? Internet resources perhaps? Anyway, anything would help... And would love to hear thoughts about the use of Clarinet in Klezmer music...

I played some Klezmer music on my clarinet but I`m absolutely no expert on that area.
I think that the main idea about playing it is to make lots of glissandos etc. But that might be a bit hard when you haven`t played so long. But ask you teacher about that. Then you can get some Klezmer sound!
