Ligature?

I was wondering what the suggested ligature would be to brighten my sound. I have a very nice tone, but frankly, it`s rather dull. I would like it to be more "brighter", if that makes sense to any of you. Should I consider obtaining a new ligature, or is there anything else I could do to help improve my "brightness" for my tone other than letting my embrochure mature more?

in my opinion there are only three ligatures that are even worth trying, well, that i`ve tried. ok, 4. the vandoren optimum is nice if you ar ewilling to drop about 60 bucks, with its three interchangeable plates i kinda like it.
the bonade looks like a standard ligature but it inverted and is much nicer. this will open up your sound a little, and they are only about 15. there is also the luyben which will open up your wound and make it fuller, but its plastic and that kind of scares me. my personal favorite is the rovner, either the eddie daniles or the standard dark one. the dark one can be cocked to either produce a very warm and covered sound, or up more to create a brighter sound, as you eluded to wanting
thats just what i think

I have been playing clarinet for a few years, and a break for medical reasons. My biggest problem is that my clarinet sounds more like a kazoo than a sweet mellow clarinet.
Any suggestions?

i prefer the vandoren optimum ligature.
to improve your tone you can practise long notes, concentrate on your embouchure, buy a professional mouthpiece and ligature eg. vandoren B40 mouthpiece and vandoren optimum ligature. the quality of your instrument also makes a diffirence.
i found tha in general any clarinet by buffet crampon has a good sound.
