I hae been playing for a couple of years now and can play a full range chromatic scale on my Bb clarinet is there any note higher than 4th octave aka reallyreallyreally high g?

I play my chromatic scale up to upper altissimo D# which is 6 lines above the staff. So yes, there are lots of notes above that G. Most are false fingerings that give you the note you want...and many have dozens of fingerings to produce the right tone.

Shanna is right, the highest note in the clarinet is the super high G..... you finger it like this thumb,rk,1,1,top right pinky, and this key is optional.... the side key next to the a key, in other words the g# key......... WEll anyways hi im in 9th grade, and i play flute,clarinet,oboe,basson,sax, bari-sax,tenor-sax,trumpet,and i can also play the french horn, but my main instrument is the clarinet..... well if any of you fellow musicians wanna email me or chat, my email is: jesus_dukeuni_2010@hotmail.com
