I was curious I know there are ligitures(sp?) you can buy that like go on backwards and i`ve heard they make a better sound. would it be wrong if I turned my selmer ligiture backwards?

Yes because those ligatures ore not meant for that and then the preassure on the reed will be wrong. It would just be better to go out and buy one that is meant for that. Not only that but it would also produce a better sound.
